sky hd review Ever since I got my Panasonic high-def tv, the first thing on my head was how long do I have to wait to get sky high-def installed. I’d already experienced high def films via my apple telly and was very impressed, but I could not keep paying for hired films. What I genuinely needed is sky, I wanted all the movies and I wanted football in high def. I had read umpteen sky hd reviews that I had to just get it. How did I order sky high definition Well I got online and signed up, it took around 10 mins and was somewhat painless, much of my time was spent mixing up the packs, removing and adding – did I actually need sky arts. I opted for the sky HD box, the high-def bundle and the film pack. It was quite costly I would now find myself paying just under sixty pounds per month but would have everything I wanted in high def. It took a couple of weeks to get the whole thing set up, I live in flats and already have a common dish, so the sky install was just some fellow giving me the sky high-def box, and installing it. I could have done this myself, but it was this feller job. It took him about 5 mins, subsequently which he gave me a quick summing up on the characteristics. I just wanted him to get out so I could play with my new toy. Read sky hd review How good is the high definition picture The high-definition picture quality is in a word staggering. The best way I can describe it? well, I wear specs the pictures on a regular telly is like viewing without my specs, foggy, lack of detail etc. When you see a high def image is like wearing the glasses so much more detail, strong you start to see things that you would never see on the old image. I found myself considering what would the matrix look like in HD, before I knew it I was watching all my loved films again in HD. Other benefits of sky hd Well the other major benefit from my point of view is the sound quality. Sky pumps out dolby digital 5.1 surround sound. So, like me, if you have a 5.1 system, I have a sony, can’t recollect the model but it cost a lot, then the sound is impressive. The remote record feature is also a great feature. It essentially allows you to visit the sky website, view the telly schedule, and record. So if you are at work you can browse the schedule and record at your lesiure, when you get home everything will be sitting inside your sky high-def box ready to view. Free broadband – I was a little unsure about the free broadband. I was with bt, and they had the worst service. I was lucky if I got 1mb download speed, despite many phone calls they never resolved it. When you call bt youre calls are sent to india, where despite their best efforts the staff are just reading from a script. I could never understand what they were saying and got really frustrated. So thanks to bt, I determined to choose for the sky broadband and try and save a bit of cash, I was paying bt twenty pounds for the joy of their terrible service. I got the sky hd box working first, and finally got the free broadband a couple of weeks later, as bt were slow in making things happen their end. I was dreading trying the internet as I thought it would be slower than bt. To my surprise the connection was a full 2mb, I know this is not the fastest but for me I was jumping with joy.
